Snowcrash

While discussing how Chris Hardwick’s past relationships with companies is now being erased (very Stalinist says John C!) Adam drew comparisons to the novel Black Mirror and the sci-fi novel Snowcrash. Snowcrash is the famous sci-fi novel that came out in the late 80s. Adam mentioned it because so much of it has become true!

Fahrenheit 451

Adam asked John if he saw the remake of Fahrenheit 451. John read bad reviews but mentioned that Ray Bradbury had some involvement with the original. Adam saw it and enjoyed it because everyone was associated with a talking tube which made it relevant to No Agenda. He also thought the visuals were similar to

Ippudo Ramen

While discussing Adam’s dining exerpience at Austin’s Kemuri Tatsu-ya. Dvorak brought up that a famous Japanese Ramen shop opened up in Berkeley. It’s called Ippudo and is a chain in Japan. Dvorak think a restaurant concept would be Ramen & Bugs! [1037 :09] Yelp review Ippudo 2015 Shattuck Ave Berkeley, CA 94704 (510) 666-8807 ippudo-us.com/store

Kemuri Tatsu-ya

Adam had dinner with the ‘New York Banker’ who knows where all the hip and swanky new places are in Austin’s East Side. Adam described it as a bar with snacks called Kemuri Tasu-ya. He noticed they have several small dishes where you eat the whole fish as well as head-on prawn and octopus fritters.

Autumn Flush Darjeeling Tea

At the beginning of show 1018, Dvorak reported it’s pouring rain and he’s pouring tea! More precisely he’s drinking hard to find, single source autumn flush darjeeling. Read more about this outstanding product here:https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2016/10/04/496451715/autumn-flush-the-best-darjeeling-tea-you-ll-likely-never-taste Of course we sourced some from Amazon: https://amzn.to/2pPpwea https://amzn.to/2GSc0Ph   [1018 :01]

UnREAL

Unreal is a TV show that takes you behind the scenes of a ficticious reality dating show.  John Dvorak says he loves this show and that this is his favorite show in this genre.  Unreal features Constance Zimmer that plays the most evil director/producer, (she’s great!) and cutie Sheri Appleby – remember Roswell on WB

Jordan Peterson – 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

According to Adam, Jordan Peterson, is a professor that has big mouth! Peterson now has a book out and Adam wishes John would do an interview with him. Currently a lot of attention has been give to Peterson’s interview by Channel 4 (UK) SJW reporter, Kathy Newman. She constantly tries to re-characterize or misstate what

She also claims to be hacked by our own govt. Get it at Amazon [NA 950 :35]

BBC – Panorama

Diamond and Silk

Diamond and Silk are two fast talking video blogging ladies. Adam likes playing their clips like this recent one. They were pro-Trump early in the primaries and have been featured on many MSM interviews. Their delivery reminds me of SF Bay Area cartoon host legends, Charlie & Humphrey!

All Aboard! Meetup at the California Train Museum

****UPDATE*** Date of meetup changed to Saturday, August 12. More details to follow when Dvorak posts them. **************** Trains Good, Planes Bad… For many years, John C. Dvorak has been threatening to host a meetup at Sacramento’s California State Railroad Museum. This has gone unfulfilled for song long (like his vinegar book idea) that we

Gestalt Prime

Show producer, Ignacio Salome just self-published his novel, Gestalt Prime. John Dvorak was impressed with the quality of the production of the publican, its cover and content. He further recommended that show listeners should go to Amazon to buy it and then review it. Description: Pre-sync Earth is no more. All that remains now is a

In HyperNormalisation, Curtis explains the connections that influenced the situations Lybia and Syria as well as filling in a lot of holes in the story.

Dick

During a discussion on Watergate and what it really is all about, John Dvorak shared a movie pick, the 1999 movie, Dick, which gives a hilarious angle on how Watergate occurred. Dick is about two cheerleaders that visit the Whitehouse and get mixed up with Richard Nixon’s taping chicanery. Stars the delightful Kirsten Dunst and

Get Me Roger Stone

Adam highly recommends the new Netflix documentary, Get Me Roger Stone. Dvorak has heard lots of buzz about it too and assumes it’s dynamite. Adam compared it to Adam Curtis’ Hypernormalizaiton. According to the Book of Knowledge (Wikipedia) Roger Jason Stone Jr. (born August 27, 1952) is an American political consultant,[2] lobbyist, and strategist, noted for

Oxytocin

“Oxytocin promotes pro-social behavior”, “grooviest hormone on earth!” says an expert. John Dvorak described it, “Idea is you take a little nasal inhalant, you meetup with someone and you fall in love – at least your amenable, or at least you can put up with each other” Get it on Amazon! Arab Chicken

Dvorak is trying to remember the name of a chain of chicken restaurants in Saudi Arabia. Supposedly, even critics of the Kingdom rave about this chicken. Jokingly, Adam asked if it was called Hermanos Pollos in reference to the infamous chicken joint in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. We looked around and discovered Al Baik is
