Tip of the Day: Wine-Searcher.com

John Dvorak has another winning wine tip, this time it’s the outstanding WineSearcher.com wine portal. It’s an easy-to-use database on wines, wineries, reviews and places to find that specific wine you always wanted to get.

John: Wine-searcher.com. This is a huge, monstrous database of wines—with all the reviews and all the stores that sell the wine.

So you just type in a wine at the top, say, Château Montrose 1990 and, it gives you where it’s available, all the different prices from cheapest to most expensive.

Then you click on “Reviews.” It shows you all the known reviews, gives you summaries, star ratings, it even links to CellarTracker, which a lot of people love.

Adam: I have CellarTracker. The app.

John: Yeah, CellarTracker the app. It’s amateurs rating the wines.

Adam: That’s correct. Amateurs rating the wine, taking pictures of the label. The label even tells you what it should cost.

John: Right. But it also gives you the CellarTracker number. It’s dynamite. A godsend for anyone who buys wine.
