Adam invented a new software defined radio gadget called the PrepperSDR. During NA 494 he announced he's completed a demo unit comprised of a black box that you screw an antenna into and a power supply, then connect it to your computer system via wifi or the internet.

Michael Clayton

During a discussion of CIA operatives embedded in Hollywood, Dvorak highly recommended the George Clooney film, Michael Clayton. He described it as a great, riveting film about a fixer that works for a law firm.

Marjoram

While John Dvorak was thinking of ways to improve his Cat Food Mac'n Cheese recipe, he's sure the herb marjoram will come in handy! Dvorak loves marjoram and buys it in 2 pound batches and often uses it as a salad herb.

Cat Food Mac’n Cheese

During NA 492 it was starting to turn into the Mac'n Cheese Life with so many Mac'n Cheese stories. Adam then wondered what's next on the ladder when you can't afford Mac'n Cheese? He then answered cat food!

Korean Markets

While discussing NoAgendaCD.com, the new site that uploads CD ISO images of the No Agenda show that you can download and burn yourself, Dvorak mentioned a Korean market in Redwood City that puts stacks of free CDs by the newsracks.

NCIS

Dvorak brought up the goth girl character of NCIS because she carries around a 32 oz Big Gulp.

State of War

During a discussion on national security letters in NA 496, John Dvorak played several clips from a NSA whistleblower who was discussing the risks to political figures talking to the press and how the government covers up classified information.

Dallas

The old hit TV series Dallas has been rebooted and is being taped again. During NA 495 Adam's announced his wife Micky is now auditioning for a co-starring role.

Vikings

"Fisting and Drinking in the Halls of the God!" Well, that was what Dvorak thought the characters of the Vikings were saying. Vikings is a new drama on the History Channel.

Skunk Baxter

Who knew Doobie Brothers guitarist Skunk Baxter was a spook? Well, at least he's a paid consultant on matters of national security and is a promoter of missile defense.

Geitost (Brown Cheese)

Hans-Peter Feld from Gitmo Nation Brown Cheese actually sent Adam a block of this brown, caramelized sweet goat cheese. Called brunost or gjetost in Norway...

They Might Be Giants

Adam thinks the new They Might Be Giants album is OUTSTANDING! [NA491 :34]

House of Cards

Adam thinks Kevin Spacey depiction of a pathological congressional majority whip is an very interesting and House of Cards is well written and produced. This is show depicts Washington DC, with the back room deal making which you aren't going to see from the compromised networks like Sorkin's The Newsroom.
