San Francisco Meetup?

During show 801, it was announced that a San Francisco meet up was going to happen on 2/29. One has yet to materialize on Meetup.com. I contacted the group moderator and they said it was in the works and will be posted. Since it’s now 2/27, I’m hoping it get’s a new date and happens soon!

Sausage Recall

Near the end of No Agenda #789, John played a story about a large sausage recall in San Jose, California. I looked up the story and discovered it was Sunnyvale based, New York Sasuage Company, which is the largest producer of Italian sausage in Northern California. National Survey of State Laws

Producer and Knight Sir Richard Leiter, has sent out copies of his new book, National Survey of State Laws, 7th Edition to Adam and John. Adam declared it a “Great reference!” This book helps you understand state laws and how they differ from state to state. Looks like the 6th edition is currently available 7th edition coming soon to Amazon.

Chi-Raq

Adam just watched Spike Lee’s latest film Chi-Raq. The drama centers around Chicago’s inner-city violence and is the first film by Amazon’s new film division. The film is currently available in limited theaters and Amazon for rent or purchase. [NA 786 :43]  

laV Restaurant & Wine Bar

Adam thinks the Austin economy is tanking because of the empty storefronts he sees and now laV Restaurant & Wine Bar has closed. It was renown for being run by women but lost its head chef last year. Adam further mused that he now has the best new concept for an Austin restaurant – Open Carry +

The Walk

Adam started talking about this new movie on Netflix/Amazon called The Wire about high-wire artist Philippe Petit’s death defying walk between the two towers of the World Trade Center in 1974.
