No Agenda fans packed Pizzeria Violetta in Oakland for an afternoon of pizza, stories, and love for our dearly departed friend, John C. Dvorak.
It was a lovely afternoon, with a big crowd that included members of John’s family. I got to reconnect with familiar faces from past meetups and had the privilege of meeting many new friends for the first time. We spent the afternoon swapping stories and memories, including the moments when we each got to meet John in person.
Pizzeria Violetta generously hosted the event, treating us to amazing pizza, pasta, and salad. The tables were decorated with beautiful flowers, and a display of John’s No Agenda items was set out for us to take home. Hilarious art signs featuring some of our favorite JCD catchphrases hung around the room, and Littlejohn’s candies donated a large selection of candy and chocolate bars. One attendee even baked cookies with JCD references on them. Special thanks to Sarah, John, and Violetta of Pizzeria Violetta for being such amazing hosts.
By the time I left, my stomach was full — and so was my heart, from all the love and connection shared that afternoon in memory of John C. Dvorak.
