Consider this an “experience it once” recommendation rather than a real endorsement. Retsina is a Greek wine tradition dating back to when wine jugs were sealed with tree resin, which seeped into the wine and left it tasting distinctly of, well, resin — something like a mild turpentine flavor. It’s inexpensive, easy to find in the U.S. for around five or six dollars a bottle, and undeniably unique. Try it once for the novelty; don’t expect to fall in love.
