Tip of the Day: Terracotta Watering Spikes

If John Dvorak ever has to leave his casa, he relies on these Terracotta Watering Spikes to keep his plants from drying out and croaking. These are made of terracotta clay and are inserted into the plant’s soil, then you add a bottle (old wine bottle will do) filled with water upside down into the watering spike. As the soil dries, water from the spike will replenish the plant.

You can find these on Amazon.
