Tip of the Day: Stirrup Hoe Garden Tool
It’s time to start planting gardens, and John C. Dvorak recommends you get a stirrup hoe garden tool! It’s a tool handle with metal loop at the end. John describes it as the greatest weeding tool imagined. When I was a kid, they were called Hula-hoes. Home Depot has them or, you can get one on Amazon.

I would like to suggest another option for weeding. I have been a gardener for a long,long time.
I use my Dutch Hoe . It uses a push motion versus a pull and i can go twice as fast and have more control. I got this idea from another old time gardener.

The stirrup is for those that do small weeding projects. This has amazing versatility. I first heard about from an excellent book called “Know Maintenance”.
