Tip of the Day: Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon

Here’s a screwball wine that came out of a bunch of winery purchases Robert Mondavi made before he died. Mondavi was purchasing other California wineries for tax purposes, but one of the wines produced from these wineries is Robert Mondavi Private Selection – Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, with a black label. Adam says it’s good hamburger wine! John says it’s got a lot of oak, so stay away if you don’t like too much oak. Dvorak says it’s sometimes available at Costco, we’ve located it at Target for $12.99.
