Tip of the Day: Instaheadshots.com for Corporate Headshots
Have a deadline for a corporate headshot and all you have are some snapshots taken with your cellphone? Instaheadshots.com will use AI to transform them into slick headshots!
John C. Dvorak: I have a tip for you, but you might not like it.
Adam Curry: Why wouldn’t I like your tip?
John C. Dvorak: Because it’s not something everyone will find useful. Plus, I’m not sure if there’s a free way to do this. I haven’t found one, but I’m sure there’s a way.
It’s a site called instaheadshots.com. You upload two, three, or up to five photos, and it uses AI to create a professional-looking headshot. The results are really impressive.
Adam Curry: Have you tried it yourself?
John C. Dvorak: No, I don’t need it, but I find the technology fascinating. I think Linda Lupatkin might find it useful for resumes and other professional purposes.
Adam Curry: That makes sense. Lots of people have casual photos but lack a professional headshot.
John C. Dvorak: Exactly. While I don’t like the idea of putting professional photographers out of work, I think they could leverage tools like this. Artists being impacted by AI could pivot to becoming “prompt jockeys.” Their artistic backgrounds would be beneficial.
Adam Curry: So, you’re suggesting people embrace AI?
John C. Dvorak: Yes, reluctantly. It’s the reality now, and adapting is key.
