After 19 years, 1,916 episodes, and zero ads ever run, No Agenda went off the air for good on October 29th. Andrew Horowitz — who co-hosted alongside John Dvorak for almost as long as the show existed — sat in for the entire final episode, calling it “emotionally draining, but at the same time a wonderful tribute.” Rather than another news-deconstruction show, Adam dedicated the whole three-hour-plus finale to the producers: reading donation notes, playing tribute mixes fans had assembled, and thanking, by his own extended count, nearly everyone who ever kept the show running — the troll room, the meetup organizers, the coders who built the show’s podcasting infrastructure, and “everyone who listened and never sent anything at all. You are here and that counts.”

The show splinters rather than disappears. The Dvorak family moves forward with Party Line (partylineshow.com); Andrew Horowitz continues DH Unplugged and The Disciplined Investor; Adam is expanding We Get to Do This with Pastor Jimmy to two days a week starting November 9th and reviving Curry and the Keeper; and the troll room’s IRC stream migrates to Void Zero. Noagendashow.net and the show’s archives stay up.

It ended the way it always did — Adam signing off as himself, then dropping into John Dvorak’s voice one last time: “Mine is the last voice that you will ever hear. Do not be alarmed.” Adios, mofos.
