I’d Like Teach the World to Sing

During NA 516, Adam started singing, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing". This song was written in 1971 for a Coca Cola ad. It became a popular hit after Coca Cola used it for its famous "Hilltop" ad which featured a global cast of singers holding bottles of Coke in different languages.

In the Garden of the Beasts

Adam mentioned he started reading In the Garden of the Beasts in NA 516. Adam drew parallels between the authors descriptions of life in Hitler's Germany and how opposition is shouted down in present day America.

Sons of Anarchy

John Dvorak brought up more drama concerning the US Justice Department's Fast & Furious campaign. It's now being revealed that the feds built up the Sinaloa cartel so it can kill of the other Mexican cartels - leaving only one cartel to monitor.

Castle

John Dvorak brought up the TV show Castle (ABC TV) because it's recent episode contained propaganda that made it seem OK to have surveillance drones over New York City.

Laurie Frick

Laurie Frick is an Austin based artist that uses data patterns as inspiration for her 2D and 3D works. Adam mentioned her while he was describing his recent meetup at Austin's Halcyon restaurant.

Annie’s Macaroni and Cheese

This weeks Executive Producer, Sir Joshua claim's he's just getting by while eating Annie's Shells & White Cheddar. Annie's makes a popular line of organic mac'n cheese products and are headquartered in John Dvorak's backyard of Berkeley, California.

Sirius Scam

During a donation break Adam and John reminded the listeners that they're not competing with the seed sellers (reference to Alex Jones crisis seed bank advertisers) of Conspiracy Inc., but with the movie industry where you spend $50 with one other family member and $10 bucket of popcorn. Vintage Pepsi Ad

In the 60's, a 16oz soda was intended to serve three people, three big servings of 5 1/3 oz. each! I included this ad as it was used when Adam played a clip from The Morning Stream podcast which tried to school Adam on the proper use of a soundboard.

Beef Bourguignon

Adam was hosting a dinner party and needed some help from foodie John Dvorak. In a rare off show phone call, John recommended beef bourguignon - a classic french country dish. Adam renamed it Double Dipper Recession Slave Stew.

Chocolate Covered Bacon

Dvorak is pissed that ABC Nightline just ran an entire puff piece segment on everyone’s favorite fast food restaurant, Taco Bell! John was aghast that the ABC’s so called news show revealed Taco Bell serves delicious food and loyal fan base. He surmised that this was payback for some previously run negative story since Taco

Nomad Dosa

While discussing the possibilites of opening a Curry/Dvorak Consulting food operation, Adam mentioned getting a dosa at an Austin food truck. He further described a dosa as mattress foam bread filled with goop, rice and chutney - all gluten free! Dvorak describes it as similar to a burrito, but make sure you get the dips

The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen

During NA 490 and a discussion on Mac' n Cheese, Dvorak said that the grilled cheese restaurant across the street from Mevio's is always packed where people are essentially eating "cheap depression food"! That restaurant is American Grilled Cheese Kitchen and it was the first restaurant to focus on grilled cheese in SF.

Zydeco’s

Adam mentioned this fantastic restaurant in NA 505. Located in Moorville, Indiana, Zydeco features Cajun cuisine with a fun kid's menu. The illustrated Super Fun Kids Menu features mac'n cheese sides and Cup o' Sugar (liquid in the form of fizzy pop).

State of Fear

During NA 506, Adam read an excerpt from the Michael Crichton book State of Fear. Outstanding book! This book was first mentioned on NA 504 when John Dvorak played a Charlie Rose clip of him interviewing the book's author. Crichton expressed it was the worse experience of his life as he was shouted down for writing
