Adam and Micky just viewed the Academy screener of Lincoln. It was of great interest to Adam because it was screened at the White House and was directed by Steven Spielberg. Adam then went on to describe being dumbfounded by what he has coined, "cultural creationism".

Dirty Wars

For a show clip, John Dvorak submitted an interview of Jeremy Scahill,the author of the book and movie Dirty Wars. In this interview, Scahill explains the role and command structure of Central Command's secret wars around the globe.

During NA 481 and a discussion on Obama's Inauguration, Adam was wondering why James Taylor was an event performer because he isn't very cool.

Visioneers

Dvorak mentioned this funny but “juvenile” film from 2008 during NA 473. Starring the actor/comedian, Zack Galifianakis (The Hangover). It’s takes place in the future where corporations have taken over the place and people salute each other by flipping the finger.

Drugs Inc.

Dvorak brought up a new TV show, Drugs Inc. that features illegal drugs. Dvorak describes it as a quasi documentary/reality show where you can learn about the latest drugs.

We Need to Talk About Kevin

In NA 471, Adam played a BBC interview with Lionel Shriver the author of We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Being Elmo: A Puppeteers Journey

Near the end of NA 463, Adam brought up the recent controversy involving Elmo puppeteer, Kevin Clash.

Episodes

During a discussion on shooting movies and TV shows using "green screens", John Dvorak brought up the funny Showtime show, Episodes. Supposedly most of the show is shot with dropped in backgrounds.

Frugal Gourmet

While discussing accused British pedophile and TV personality Jimmy Savile, John Dvorak mused about former PBS TV chef, pastor and cookbook author Jeff Smith, better known as the Frugal Gourmet in the 1990's.

Escape Fire

While Adam and Micky were in DC, Adam got a call from his friend Wendell Potter who he recently met at the CUSP Conference in Chicago. Potter, who wrote Deadly Spin about the pharmaceutical "sickness industry" ...

Flowers of War

While Adam and Micky were in Los Angeles for her art show, Adam met a friend of theirs who is an architect in Beijing. Since he lived in China, Adam asked him why there are trumped up, government sponsored protests in China about the the disputed occupation of some islands by Japan.

Revolution

During a discussion of the manipulation of the public and how Hollywood was later used for creating propaganda tools during WWII, new examples of TV shows and movies were discussed.

X Factor

Adam is on a bit of a TV watching streak! He discussed the kickoff of the X Factor show which featured a girl contestant that cried while she was explaining how she was bullied which led to the judges being moved - even Simon Cowell was cried!

The New Normal

Adam asks John, "be sure to watch the New Normal, so you can kill yourself!"

Islam: The Untold Story

Islam: The Untold Story is a documentary from BBC Channel 4 that was cancelled for "security reasons." The film which purports to study the roots of Islam was mentioned by Adam Curry in NA 443.

Nightline

Nightline is an ABC news program. It was brought up during a discussion on "October Surprises" in NA 443. Dvorak incorrectly said that when ABC started carrying news of the Iran hostage crisis of 1979 it ruined the show.

Boss

While Adam was discussing his ridiculously high cable TV bill, he mentioned was trying to record the show Boss from the Starz network. Boss stars Kelsey Grammer as the mayor of Chicago who conceals that he is in the early stages of dementia.

“V”

At end of Episode 441, Adam reported how the previously discussed book, It Can't Happen Here, is now a hot item! Adam discovered that it was attempted to turn the book into a television movie but it was too controversial.

Honey Boo Boo

In show 441 Dvorak brings up Honey Boo Boo, a TV reality show about fat, hick Republicans that are raising a pageant girl. Dvorak then played a bunch of crazy sound clips. John said that most of the reality shows are created to make you feel better about yourself.

The Newsroom

During NA 440, HBO's The Newsroom came up again. It really seems to rub John Dvorak the wrong way. Dvorak think it is mostly propaganda in the way it attempts to present facts.
