Despite John Dvorak’s wanrings that this is going to stain your floor or doors, Boeshield T-9 is an outstanding product for lubricating locks and other metal surfaces. Adam chimed in that this is an example of a great American product, “They don’t have stuff like this in Europe!”

Developed by the aerospace wizards at The Boeing Company, use T-9 instead of WD-40 or other applications where a spray lube will work.

While discussing this Tip of the Day, John Dvorak mentioned that he searched if he previously mentioned Boeshield T-9 by referring to this very website, NoAgendaFun.com. Thanks for endorsement John!

  1. This is a great product. Custom builders of traditional bike frames leave ‘weep holes’ in each tube so that pressures built up during lug brazing can vent. Many cyclists spray BoeShield into these weep holes in order to prevent rust inside the frame tubes.

  2. Never going back to WD-40 again, this is a superior product. I fix MRI’s, yes the one’s in the hospitals, when you need to spray on some lubricant this is the thing, great around the house.
Don’t let any get on the floor.
