Following up on Alex Gibney’s four-hour Musk documentary (covered here after its festival debut): it bombed in theaters, opening to roughly $290,000 — about $614 per screen — and was pulled from theaters shortly after. On the show, guest Jason Calacanis was blunt about it, calling Gibney “bitter,” the film “a total hit piece,” and telling Dana flatly that engaging with Gibney on X amounts to “platforming him with a movie that sucks.”
