Describing a recent road trip with his band, guest co-host Rob Dew told Adam Curry about the gear-hauling product that saved the tour on episode 1900: “I bought this thing called the truck duffel, which basically sits in the back of my truck bed. And it’s like a hermetically sealed waterproof rubber container almost. And we put all the gear in there. And we drove through two rainstorms. Didn’t get anything wet. It was amazing.”
Adam’s response left no ambiguity about whether this counts: “I get you, brother. That’s the tip of the day. Truck duffel. There it is.” It’s about as clean as a “Tip of the Day” gets — the show’s own host explicitly names it that, on air, in real time.
