Cru Beaujolais

For genuinely great wine at a reasonable price, look for Cru Beaujolais — a step above basic Beaujolais Village, with recognizable names like Fleurie, Brouilly, and Morgon (easy to look up online). The 2015 vintage in particular is considered one of the best in decades by Beaujolais enthusiasts, from budget bottles to pricier ones. Most bottles run under $20, occasionally up to $30, and consistently overdeliver for the price. A serious sleeper-hit wine year worth seeking out.

Amazon.com doesn’t sell wine directly in the U.S. — check a local wine shop or retailer like Total Wine.
