The Owl at The Bohemian Grove

John Dvorak shared a story of when he visited the famous and controversial Bohemian Grove. The Bohemian Grove is the site of an annual conclave of the world’s elite men. Alex Jones along with some books like Bohemian Grove and other Retreats by Bill Domhoff*, describes this more as a cabal of the rich and powerful and where they network to fulfill their evil schemes. John dismisses the event as just another drinking club.
One of the more infamous events that occur at this annual meeting is the Cremation of Care. It’s looks like a play steeped in symbology and allegory where ultimately a fire is built at the base of a giant statue of an owl named Care. When John was on his visit to the Grove he saw the statue of Care and declared it a rotting stump!
I want to see the owl. The owl is, there’s nothing left. It’s rotted. It’s like a stump. And it’s like, he says, “there it is!” I said, “where is it?” I said, that’s what’s left of it. This owl has been gone for 40 years. It’s been just rotted away from the day they built it. And it’s just a nothing! And it’s like, well, that’s kind of disappointing. And that’s not what Alex Jones is telling us!
