The Oryx Looked Tasty!
After the topic of Oryxs and other exotic game being hunted on special hunting ranches in Texas, Adam asked his favorite meat guy at the Austin Farmer’s market if he could procure some. He found out for a grand he could get an Orxy carcass. Dvorak recommends Adam get a huge freezer so he can buy more meat “on the hoof”, something he does occasionally. In the end, you’ll be getting quality meat for only $5 a pound! John further reported that Oryx is supposed to taste a bit like goat!
A listener reported that he dined on Oryx medallions sautéed in butter with mushrooms!

I have eaten the rump section on one of these animals while traveling in Africa. The meat was the best meat of any animal I have ever tasted. The rump was as tender as eye fillet on a good cattle breed and as tasty as the best grass fed cow.
In essence, these animals could be bred in competition against the cattle we consume.
I would like to know if anyone else has found this to be the same?
