Nullification: How To Resist Tyranny In The 21st Century
This book was mentioned during several No Agenda episodes in October. This book is intriguing for it’s premise that states have the right to override federal laws that they consider unconstitutional under the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution.
One example that was brought up was, what if California passed Proposition 19, which would have legalized marijuana. Obama and the feds said they would still prosecute cases it deemed necessary – would the state of California be able to nullify federal laws? Dvorak said that in order to make alcohol illegal under prohibition, a constitutional amendment had to be passed for it to be enforceable countrywide.
