Brand Safe

Every now and then, we deviate from posting about No Agenda’s TV Shows, Movies and food news to feature a great No Agenda discussion. This time Adam presented a terrific talk on his theory why media companies like YouTube and Twitter de-platform creators – not necessarily because of their conservative or far-right views, but for not being Brand Safe. Not being Brand Safe means they can not sell advertising to brands if it’s along side controversial content.

Adam played a great clip by Simon Sinec explaining how successful brands communicate their message. Adam went on that this explanation takes the core essence that’s only understand by the legends in the advertising business.

People don’t buy What you do, people by Why you do it.

Sinec continues, “The goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have, the goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe”.

In turn, brands are now taking political stands.
