Nightline

Nightline is an ABC news program. It was brought up during a discussion on “October Surprises” in NA 443. Dvorak incorrectly said that when ABC started carrying news of the Iran hostage crisis of 1979 it ruined the show. In fact the show was created by ABC’s Roone Arledge to specifically cover the Iran hostage situation. After Reagan’s election (October Surprise) the hostages were released but the show carried on with Ted Koppel becoming the most well known of it’s anchors.
