Guest co-host Rob Dew, fresh off a New Orleans gig, gave Adam Curry a detailed, specifically framed recommendation on episode 1900: “I do have a good travel tip. If you’re going to New Orleans, a lot of people go to Bourbon Street… that’s probably not a good place to go anymore.”
Instead: “you cross Esplanade and you hit Frenchman. Now, Frenchmen is where the locals go to listen to music… there’s probably 10, 15 different bars there. Most of them are no cover… amazing musicians, all local, just kicking butt… If you’re sick of cover bands, go to Frenchmen street and you will get literally the best music in the French quarter. Hands down.”.
