While discussing Native Advertising with Vice and Politico.. Adam brought up that he got the book/whitepaper from the Native Advertising Institute. Dvorak asserted that Native Advertising is going to take over most online news/content sites (except for No Agenda of course!). An insider that used to work at Vise revealed that they consider themselves an ad agency. Dvorak’s quoted from an Ad Age article that stated Politico may be getting behind in the Native Advertising game. Politico was relying on the advertiser to create the ad (“oh what a mistake” exclaimed Adam) compared to it’s Capitol Hill competitors, The Washington Post and The Atlantic, which have carved out departments to make the articles and videos for the advertisers.
